To promote harmony within families, and to better protect women and/or children's legal rights and interests, Yinchuan Women's Federation, the Women Lawyers' Working Committee, under Yinchuan Association of Lawyers, and other organizations in Yinchuan (capital of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region) in October established three volunteers' groups — composed of lawyers, psychologists and marriage and family counselors — to provide legal aid to women and children, and to offer counseling to women (and their family members), to help them improve their family and marital relations.
During the past month, the groups' members have offered advice to many women, children and their family members, to help them reduce anxiety and relieve stress during the epidemic prevention and control period of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Psychologists, who are members of the groups, have provided online lectures to workers (with various organizations in Yinchuan), to help them improve their ability to deal with work pressure.
